How do I determine the correct hockey stick flex for my height and weight?
As a general rule, your stick flex should be roughly half your body weight. However, your height and playing style also matter; taller players or those who take heavy slapshots may prefer a stiffer flex, while those focused on quick wrist shots often choose a lower flex.
What is your return policy for sharpened ice skates?
Once skates have been sharpened or baked to your foot, they are considered used and are no longer eligible for return. We recommend ensuring the fit is perfect before requesting any customization or sharpening services.
How long does shipping take for heavy equipment like goalie pads?
Standard shipping for oversized equipment typically takes 5-7 business days within the continental US and Canada. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your gear leaves our warehouse.
Do you offer a warranty on composite hockey sticks?
Most manufacturers provide a one-time 30-day limited warranty against breakage due to manufacturing defects. Please keep your original receipt and the serial number sticker from the shaft to process a claim.
Can I use my rewards points for team sales or bulk orders?
Reward points are applicable to individual retail purchases. For team sales or bulk orders, we offer specialized volume discounting which cannot be combined with standard loyalty point redemptions.
How do I know if a helmet is certified for league play?
All helmets sold at TheHockeyShop feature HECC and CSA certification stickers. Please ensure these stickers remain intact, as referees will check for them to verify the helmet meets current safety standards.
